Hemingway was right; Fitzgerald is too wordy.
A lot of Scott Fitzgerald's work for the money--a good bargain.
If you like this author, this is a great collection.
This is a great collection of Fitzgerald's works for anyone who wants to get caught up.
An extravagant read. Certainly not every piece in his work is a perfect five stars, but taken all together, we can see how he worked with themes of love, class, self-consciousness, poetry, madness, and the most timeless topic of all rich, well-groomed white men competing for the most beautiful women.
“The F. Scott Fitzgerald Megapack” sounds like something you would buy at Costco but it is a great--and affordable--addition to any collection. Included here are some of Fitzgerald’s early works from the first half of the 1920s when he was still very popular. His two early novels “The Beautiful and Damned” and “This Side of Paradise” are here as are some early essays and poems. The heart of this collection are Fitzgerald’s often overlooked short stories with the various ones included in “Flappers and Philosophers" and “Tales of the Jazz Age” included here. Probably the best known of his stories is “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” which was made into a memorable film back in 2008. The navigation is fine if unflashy and introduction is dry and not particularly insightful. But, at this price, you can’t beat it and the text is generally well edited unlike many classic works on . Highest recommendation, especially at the affordable price.
